2. Reading

Section 1: Three short texts or several shorter texts related to daily life
Section 2: Two texts related to work or training
Section 3: One longer, more complex text on a general topic
General Module:
Parts: Three sections with a total of 40 questions
Section 1: Two or three short factual texts
Section 2: Two short, work-related factual texts
Section 3: One longer, more complex text on a topic of general interest
3. Writing
Duration: 60 minutes
Academic Module:
Task 1: Describe, summarize, or explain information from a graph, table, chart, or diagram (150 words)
Task 2: Respond to a point of view, argument, or problem with a formal essay (250 words)
General Module:
Task 1: Write a letter requesting information or explaining a situation (150 words)
Task 2: Write an essay in response to a point of view, argument, or problem (250 words)
4. Speaking
Duration: 11-14 minutes
Format: One-on-one interview
Part 1: Introduction and interview (4-5 minutes) - general questions about the candidate
Part 2: Long turn (3-4 minutes) - the candidate speaks for 1-2 minutes on a given topic
Part 3: Discussion (4-5 minutes) - two-way discussion on more abstract topics related to Part 2
